Artist's Books > Al Mutanabbi Street

from the colophon:

"On March 5, 2007, a car bomb was detonated on al-Mutanabbi Street, the historic center of Baghdad bookselling, celebrated as the heart of the literary and intellectual community. At least 30 people were killed and 100 were wounded.

This book, an incomplete list of those who perished while engaged in the commerce of ideas, has been produced in an edition of three for the al-Mutanabbi Street Coalition as an effort to remember what was lost on that day."
